Purpose.....To determine the attitudes of the citizens of our State as to the amount and usage of current Property Taxes, and using a simple and positive questioning procedure without attempting to influence their responses or answers.
 
The League of Washington Taxpayers is a statewide organization with workers in 415 cities and towns and with Area Chairman in all 39 Counties.

You are invited to participate in this Survey by answering the three (3) questions listed and sending your answers to us by e-mail or direct mail.
 
Question #1  What immediately comes to your mind when hear the words..."Property Taxes?"  Examples of current replies..."too high"..."unfair"..."should be capped"... I can afford them"..."I pay too much".
 

Question #2  If you, and you alone, were to make the decision to reduce Property Taxes...what percentage would you reduce them by?__________.
 
Question #3  Would you support and vote for that amount? Yes____ No____
 
This survey was taken in Western and Eastern Washington...in large and small cities and towns. Over 1500 people participated. We are considering an Initiative for the 2007, or 2008 election, and will determine the percentage reduction amount shortly.
 
We have advised a number of elected officials at the State, County and City levels of the current compilation of the Survey answers...with this message.. "If you don't take action...we'll do it by the Initiative process."
